Job summary

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) seeks an experienced Accountant, GS-0510-14, to join the Offices of Hearings and Inquiries, PRRB. You will collaborate with accountants, attorneys, Board Members, and Hearing Officers on Medicare contractor accounting, reimbursement, audit, and payment systems.

Qualifications

• At least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to GS-13.
• Experience evaluating Medicare Part A cost reporting principles.
• Experience providing technical advice on laws, policies, regulations, or precedents.
• Experience writing technical documents on Part A reimbursement issues.
• Volunteer experience considered eligible.

Responsibilities

• Work with accountants, attorneys, board members and hearing officers on accounting, reimbursement, audit, and payment systems of Medicare Contractors.
• Provide guidance on Medicare payment systems and contractor reimbursements.
• Support audit and cost reporting activities for Medicare Contractors.
