Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking an experienced Medicare Compliance Advisor to execute the compliance program and translate CMS requirements for business stakeholders. You will support regulatory reporting, risk assessment, and remediation activities while coordinating with audit and regulatory teams.

The role requires strong written/verbal communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s/JD preferred.
• 5+ years compliance, regulatory, operations, or risk management within a regulated industry.
• 4+ years compliance advisory experience including regulatory research and drafting guidance, risk assessment, auditing/monitoring, and corrective action plans.
• 2+ years experience in managed care, Medicare Advantage/Part D, or Dual Eligible (DSNP) programs.
• Foundational knowledge of Medicare regulations (CMS guidance and compliance expectations).
• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred.
• Familiarity with CMS audit protocols, program audits, or monitoring activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Medicare Compliance Program in alignment with CMS and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Translate requirements into clear, actionable guidance for business stakeholders.
• Develop regulatory communications and disclosures; liaise with regulators as needed.
• Support preparation and submission of regulatory reports, attestations, and filings.
• Identify compliance risks, evaluate processes, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Lead or support root-cause analysis and corrective action plans.
• Provide SME support to audit and monitoring activities; assist audit scope and testing strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support audit execution and regulatory reviews.
• Evaluate remediation plans to ensure sustainable resolution of issues.
• Contribute to compliance training and mentor stakeholders.
• Review policies and processes for regulatory alignment.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance compliance and efficiency.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends; drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with legal, audit, and operations for coordinated compliance actions.
• Performs other duties as assigned; comply with policies and standards.
