Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a Medicare Compliance Advisory expert to support day-to-day execution of the Medicare Compliance Advisory program in alignment with CMS requirements. You will translate federal/state rules into actionable guidance, support audits and regulatory reporting, and help drive corrective actions across the organization.

The role requires 5+ years in compliance or regulatory roles within healthcare, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, public health, policy) or equivalent experience.
• Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor preferred.
• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred.
• 5+ years Compliance, regulatory, operations, or risk management within a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, managed care, insurance, or public sector).
• 4+ years Compliance advisory experience including regulatory research and drafting compliance guidance, assessing risk, issue tracking, auditing/monitoring, and overseeing correction action plans.
• 2+ years experience supporting managed care, Medicare Advantage/Part D, or DSNP programs.
• Foundational knowledge of Medicare regulations, including CMS guidance and compliance expectations (Parts C & D).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an individual contributor and subject matter expert for the Medicare Compliance Advisory program.
• Provide regulatory guidance and research to business and compliance leadership.
• Support audit readiness and workplan activities; contribute to issue tracking and corrective actions.
• Interpret CMS and state requirements into actionable guidance for stakeholders.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, attestations, and filings.
• Identify compliance risks and evaluate processes for mitigation.
• Support audit scope, testing strategies, and ongoing oversight.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure coordinated regulatory activities.
