Job summary

North Shore Medical Center in Miami is seeking a Laboratory Technologist Supervisor to oversee routine technical procedures, coordinate weekend coverage with section supervisors, and organize daily planning to maximize efficiency.

The role includes maintaining professional interactions with laboratory staff, nursing staff, and patients, ensuring accuracy of results, and supporting inspection readiness and quality control across age groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (preferred).
• Minimum of three years experience as a technologist with managerial leadership responsibility and organizational abilities.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to pass background and drug test screenings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional interactions with laboratory staff, nursing staff, medical staff, visitors, patients, manufacturers and sales representatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate technical activities in the lab and supervise weekend and holiday coverage.
• Assist in daily planning and organization of work to achieve maximum efficiency and organize priorities during working hours.
• Judge adequacy of submitted specimens and request new specimens if necessary; notify supervisor when workload demands additional personnel.
