Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field.
• Certification preferred if available at hire (ASCP BOC) or must be obtained within first year.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity testing on blood and body fluids.
• Work across Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Microbiology as needed.
• Ensure accuracy via instrument maintenance, calibration, and QC procedures.
• Coordinate with phlebotomy and hospital staff for proper sample collection.
• Troubleshoot equipment, methods, and specimen issues.
• Train new staff and students in laboratory methods and policies.
• Communicate results and issues to Medical/Nursing staff.
• Maintain records and statistics per regulatory requirements.
