Job description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, day shift. Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays. You may be eligible for up to a $4,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). Hours may vary based on departmental needs.

We are seeking a Senior Medical Technologist (MT) – Molecular Diagnostics to:

  • Perform routine to complex lab testing, utilizing specialized scientific and technical knowledge.
  • Provide technical leadership for designated systems.
  • Oversee operational aspects, including maintenance, calibration, inventory management, training, competency assessment, and education for designated systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree must include at least 60 semester hours or equivalent, including either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses OR 24 semester hours across chemistry, biology, and medical laboratory technology in any combination (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) (Preferred)
  • Master's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (MLS) or related healthcare/science field (Preferred)

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory focusing on relevant skills (Required)
  • 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory focusing on relevant skills (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

  • Certification (e.g., Medical Laboratory Scientist, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Molecular Biology) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent (Preferred)
