Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to plan, coordinate, implement and direct the medical staff credentialing and recredentialing functions. You will evaluate provider credentials to ensure compliance with UMHS Conditions of Use, CMS Regulations and Joint Commission standards.

The role supports accreditation surveys, oversees daily credentialing operations, and ensures timely, accurate documentation while collaborating with executive leadership and medical staff coordinators

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement and oversee credentialing processes with primary source verification.
• Manage initial appointment/reappointment and credentialing in accordance with CMS regulations and Joint Commission guidelines.
• Respond to inquiries and confidential matters with professionalism and diplomacy.
• Serve as liaison between executives, medical staff coordinators, department leaders, recruiters and external customers.
• Assist with preparation and participation in Joint Commission surveys.
