Job summary

Sonova seeks a seasoned Software Verification Manager to lead verification and testing for regulated medical software. Build and guide a high-performing team across development, enhancements, and sustaining releases while ensuring quality and regulatory alignment.

You will collaborate with Software Eng, Firmware, Hardware, and Regulatory teams, drive test strategy, and ensure comprehensive evidence for audits and submissions. This role supports a hybrid, equipment-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Eng, EE, or related field.
• 8+ years in software testing, verification, QA, or related software quality roles.
• 5+ years managing software verification, software QA, SDET, or software testing teams.
• Experience with regulated medical software products.
• Strong understanding of software verification methodologies and quality practices.
• Experience with requirements-based testing, traceability, risk-based testing, and controlled documentation.
• Hands-on experience designing, executing, and reviewing software test cases.
• Experience with manual and automated testing environments.
• Strong collaboration across engineering, quality, regulatory, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead software verification activities across multiple regulated medical software products.
• Coach and develop Software Test Engineers, SDETs, and Manual Test Engineers.
• Define verification strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage across multiple testing levels.
• Review requirements, specs, architecture, and risk docs to set verification scope.
• Ensure traceability and defensible verification evidence.
• Develop verification plans, protocols, and test reports.
• Participate in hands-on testing when needed.
• Lead defect management and regression planning.
