Capital Health is seeking a Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology to lead advanced treatment planning for CyberKnife, Brachytherapy and Eclipse systems. You will supervise dosimetrists and collaborate with radiation oncologists to optimize patient dose delivery while maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires CAMPEP residency and ABR eligibility or certification; NJDEP approvals are needed for independent work.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in medical physics, physics, or a related field.
• Two years post-residency experience preferred; ABR board eligible or certified.
• NJDEP approval required before independently performing regulated activities; CAMPEP residency preferred.

Responsabilités

• Determine radiation dose distributions using planning systems (CyberKnife, Brachytherapy, Eclipse) and dosimetry planning.
• Design and construct patient treatment aids or devices.
• Consult with radiation oncologists on patient doses and plan optimization.
• Involved in brachytherapy: radiation safety surveys, source inventory, calibration, procurement and QA.
• Follow and enforce radiation safety programs; participate in NRC/state inspections and licensing.
• Maintain regulatory records and support accreditation and policy development.
