Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Radiation Oncology team seeks a Certified Medical Physicist to design, optimize, and deliver advanced treatment plans, ensuring accuracy and patient safety. You will provide technical leadership in QA, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance, working with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists.

Responsibilities include calibrations, QA of therapy equipment, and supporting new technologies while aligning with departmental quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health or Medical Physics from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
• Certification by ABR or ABMP in Radiation Oncology Physics or Canadian College of Medical Physics.
• Licensure in the state of practice as required.
• Colorado sites may require RMP/QI/QE(t).

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and evaluate radiation treatment plans to ensure precise and effective patient care.
• Provide expert technical guidance for radiation therapy procedures, technologies, and treatment delivery.
• Coordinate with leadership to maintain quality management and QA programs.
• Collaborate with Radiation Safety Officer to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold safety standards.
• Support implementation of new technologies and techniques to improve patient outcomes.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous learning.
