Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Prescott, AZ seeks a Medical Physics leader to support Radiation Oncology. You will ensure high-quality, safe radiation therapy delivery, educate staff, and uphold safety standards. Requires MS/PhD in Medical Physics, CAMPEP residency, 5+ years clinical experience, and ABR certification or eligibility. HDR/SRS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Medical Physics or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years clinical experience plus CAMPEP-accredited residency.
• ABR Part-I (and possibly Part-II) exams preferred.
• ABR certification or eligible within 3 years of hire.
• Must be licensed/registered as required for clinical practice.
• HDR and SRS program experience preferred.
• Experience with patient record and verify databases desirable.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate dose meters and radiation equipment; beam data acquisition for treatment planning.
• Prepare data for treatment planning systems and develop dosimetry software.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and standards of practice.
• Assist in acceptance testing and commissioning of new machines.
• Perform individual treatment planning, dosimetry calculations, and plan reviews.
• Provide physics consultation to radiation oncology staff and physicians.
• Verify department treatment planning system and collaborate with IT for planning system.
• Assist with shielding calculations for new facilities and programs.
• Interpret regulatory changes for departmental operations.
• Provide dosimetry checks after source changes.
• Assist with selection and acquisition of sources for permanent implant techniques.
• Participate in clinical education, training, and competency evaluations.

Education

MS or PhD in Medical Physics

CAMPEP-accredited residency

ABR Part-I and Part-II exams (preferred)

Board certification eligible within 3 years of hire

Licensure/registration with State licensing as required

HDR & SRS experience preferred

Computer system administration experience with patient record and verify databases desirable
