Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Prescott, AZ seeks a Senior Medical Physicist to ensure safe, high-quality radiation therapy delivery in Radiation Oncology Services. You will collaborate with the Cancer Care Leadership to interpret, deliver, operate and monitor safety policies and equipment.

The role requires a CAMPEP-accredited residency, 5+ years clinical experience, and ABR certification or eligibility within 3 years.

Qualifications

• M.S. or PhD in Medical Physics is required or preferred.
• CAMPEP-accredited residency is required.
• ABR certification or eligibility within 3 years of hire is preferred.
• Maintain applicable State licensing/registration.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate dose meters and beam data for treatment planning.
• Prepare data for treatment planning systems and dosimetry software.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations.
• Support organizational performance improvement activities.
• Assist in acceptance testing and commissioning of new machines.
• Perform treatment planning, dosimetry calculations, and reviews.
• Provide physics consultation to radiation oncology staff.
• Coordinate software management of department planning system.
• Contribute to shielding calculations for new facilities.
• Summarize regulatory changes for departmental operations.
