Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Senior Manager, Medical Operations in Irving, TX, to oversee medical affairs across the IVD product lifecycle. You will provide scientific and clinical expertise to support development, regulatory compliance, risk management, and post‑market activities.

Collaboration with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Clinical, and Commercial teams is essential. You will lead clinical safety assessments, contribute to benefit‑risk evaluations, and guide medical reviews for on‑market products.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or MD with life sciences focus.
• 7+ years of experience in medical operations or clinical development.
• Strong understanding of IVD, diagnostics, or medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert medical and clinical assessments across the product lifecycle.
• Lead clinical safety and risk assessments and contribute to risk management documentation.
• Represent Medical Operations in cross-functional teams and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver training to strengthen medical and scientific capabilities.
