Job summary

Abbott seeks a Medical Science Liaison to serve as the scientific bridge between Abbott and the laboratory community. You will partner with laboratory directors, pathologists, and clinical leaders to advance understanding and adoption of innovative diagnostic solutions.

Based on-site in Lake Forest, IL or Irving, TX, you will influence medical strategy, engage with experts, and support evidence-generation activities while driving better outcomes for patients worldwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of clinical or technical experience in product development or support.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Ability to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the scientific bridge between Abbott and the laboratory community, partnering with directors, pathologists, and clinical leaders.
• Lead scientific discussions on laboratory medicine, diagnostic testing, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with laboratory stakeholders to understand workflow challenges and testing trends.
• Provide scientific expertise on laboratory operations, diagnostic utilization, and assay performance.
• Gather and communicate actionable field insights, including customer needs and market trends.
• Support investigator-sponsored research, clinical studies, and publication planning.
