Crawford & Company is seeking a Senior Medical Malpractice Claim Specialist in New Orleans to lead complex malpractice matters from notice through resolution. You will direct defense strategy, coordinate with medical experts, and manage negotiations with carriers and clients.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant experience.
• JD, RN, or relevant legal/clinical background with significant claims experience preferred.
• 7+ years of medical malpractice/healthcare liability claims experience; 10+ preferred.
• Experience directing defense counsel and developing litigation strategy; evaluating liability and damages.

Responsabilidades

• Independently manage a portfolio of complex and high-severity medical malpractice claims from notice through resolution.
• Review medical records, incident reports, facility documentation, and expert reports to evaluate exposure.
• Direct and manage defense counsel, develop defense strategy, and oversee discovery, depositions, and settlements.
• Evaluate liability, damages, standard of care, and venue; adjust strategies as needed.
• Maintain timely reserves and document reserve recommendations and large-loss analyses.
• Coordinate with clients, insureds, brokers, and carriers to achieve favorable outcomes.
