Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a laboratory professional in Port Charlotte, FL. Responsibilities include pre-analytical tasks, specimen processing, and post-analytical reporting. You will follow SOPs, ensure compliance, and assist training of staff. Must have MLS-related bachelor’s degree and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in MLS or related field.
2+ years clinical lab experience (preferred).
Strong English communication and customer service skills.
Read/write/follow instructions in English; good oral communication.
Proficiency in MS Office and lab systems.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-analytical tasks: equipment checks, inventory, specimen collection, cleaning, and disinfection.
Conduct post-analytical activities: report results, provide technical support.
Complete tests and procedures per SOPs.
Participate in proficiency testing and compliance with regulations.
Mentor or precept new staff and students as needed.
Guide technicians and support staff, resolve customer issues within guidelines.
