Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent military/vocational program.
• 3-6 years of clinical laboratory training/experience required.
• MLT–ASCP or AMT–MLT certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimen adequacy for test performance and obtain specimens for analyses.
• Perform routine and specialized testing in assigned areas and correlate findings with disease stages.
• Review and verify test results, document results, and communicate abnormal findings to appropriate personnel.
• Perform daily QC/QA measures and advise supervisor of issues; maintain equipment and reagents.
• Train students and new employees; ensure competency and adherence to SOPs and Lean standards.
• Provide technical advice to laboratory staff and support cross-functional communication.
