Job summary

ProMedica Defiance Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform complex tests essential for diagnosis and treatment. You will evaluate results, interpret findings, and serve as a liaison between the lab and health care teams.

The role requires a relevant degree (MLS eligible) and ongoing CE/compliance; a $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates with a 2-year commitment. This is a full-time night-shift position at Defiance Regional Hospital.

Qualifications

• Requires Doctoral, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology or equivalent qualifications.
• Alternative route for Testing Personnel for High Complexity Testing (ASCP MLS or equivalent) with certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing and maintains quality control in accordance with hospital policies.
• Process biological specimens and perform complex analytical procedures.
• Operate instruments and interpret results; communicate findings to care teams.
