Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. You will process and test specimens, review lab results, and provide instrument maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure accurate reporting.

You will contribute to equipment validation, staff training, and regulatory compliance with CAP, TCJ, AABB, and related agencies. This role supports quality control and instrument maintenance across the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent as required.
• 2 years of acute-care lab experience or 1 year with Master’s degree.
• ASCP/NCA/AMT/CSMLS certification or equivalent licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Process and test all types of laboratory specimens; review and report results.
• Perform instrument maintenance and advanced troubleshooting.
• Serve as a resource to other laboratory personnel; assist with validation and implementation of new equipment; provide training and competency assessment.
• Support regulatory compliance responsibilities for CAP, TCJ, AABB or other agencies; participate in quality assurance and instrument maintenance.
