• Bachelor's Degree with completion of 60 semester/90 quarter hours from an accredited college/university that includes chemistry, biology, and related courses AND three months full time clinical experience in all laboratory areas.
• 3 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting performing moderate and high complexity testing.
• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP.
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - ASCP.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform and evaluate laboratory testing and analyses in assigned sections.
• Establish and maintain communications with physicians, patients, other hospital personnel, and professional associations.
• Perform routine and complex bench duties in hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, microbiology, molecular, mycology, immunohematology, LIS and Lean.
• Maintain documentation and quality control for accurate test results.

The position is responsible for professional Medical Laboratory Science bench duties within the laboratory, for the assigned section(s). The position performs routine and complex tests or analyses in any of these potential sections (as assigned): Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Toxicology, Microbiology, Molecular, Mycology, Immunohematology, LIS and Lean. The position has responsibility for planning, performing and evaluating laboratory testing analysis; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with physicians, patients, other hospital personnel, professional associations, and other organizations. Bachelor's degree level position with applicants who obtained education outside of the United States must have their education evaluated for equivalency by an Acceptable Evaluation Agency for Foreign Transcripts.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with completion of 60 semester/90 quarter hours from an accredited college/university that includes a minimum of 6 semester/9 quarter hours of chemistry, 6 semester/9 quarter hours of biology, and 12 semester/18 quarter hours of other chemistry, biology, and/or medical laboratory science courses AND at least three months full time clinical experience in all laboratory areas

• 3 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting performing moderate and high complexity testing

• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology.

• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology.

• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists.
