Senior Medical Lab Technician Weekender / Medical Technologist Weekender – Transfusion Services (Finance)

Work Schedule : 60% FTE, night shift. 11:00PM - 7:00AM Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay: You may be eligible for up to a $1,800 sign-on bonus for a Senior Medical Lab Technician Weekender position or a $2,400 sign-on bonus for a Medical Technologist Weekender position (prorated based on FTE).

We are seeking a Senior Medical Lab Technician (MLT) Weekender / Medical Technologist (MT) Weekender - Transfusion Services to:

  1. Perform testing in the clinical laboratories (any complexity).
  2. Work as an effective team member with good relations with physicians, clinic staff, and co-workers.
  3. Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem resolution.
  4. Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, ability to work independently, and take on teaching/training responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology (Required).
  2. Bachelor's Degree must include at least 60 semester hours or equivalent, including either: 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses OR 24 semester hours in chemistry, biology, and medical laboratory technology in any combination (Required).
  3. Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) (Preferred).
  4. Master's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (MLS) or related science/healthcare field (Preferred).
Work Experience
  1. 1 year healthcare or lab-related work experience (Preferred).
Licenses & Certifications
  1. Certification (Medical Lab Science, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Banking, Molecular Biology) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or similar agency (Preferred).
