Job summary

Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Sr., for the second shift to evaluate, analyze, and perform automated and complex laboratory procedures while ensuring regulatory compliance in the assigned area.

Responsibilities include participating in policy development, maintaining quality control, and training team members. Requires a Florida license and a bachelor’s degree with internship experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Successful completion of an approved clinical laboratory training internship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active participation in the corporate technical committee and assist with policy development and quality control.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain test menus based on organizational needs.
• Train new team members and complete competency documentation as required.
• Monitor daily departmental operations and resolve issues to meet objectives.
• Support supervisor/manager in budgeting and test utilization management.
