Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Medical Imaging Equipment Technician to support acquisition, installation, calibration, repair and maintenance of imaging systems. Under Health Care Technology Manager supervision, you will ensure equipment performance and safety, and coordinate with clinical staff for smooth operation.

The role requires five years of hands-on experience, an appropriate AAS degree, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience servicing medical imaging equipment.
• AAS degree in biomedical equipment service technology, electronic service technology, or computer service technology.
• Driver's License required at hire.
• Proficient knowledge in the operation and maintenance of medical imaging systems.
• Must demonstrate proficient use of test equipment used in servicing medical imaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Advises on specifications for purchases of new imaging equipment.
• Collaborates with stakeholders for installation and deployment of imaging equipment and systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance and documents work.
• Assesses equipment for HIPAA storage and security compliance.
• Remediates safety and recall hazards.
• Documents and maintains system function, configuration and support documentation.
• Provides training and assigns work orders to vendors.
