Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of industry experience (or 5+ years experience with advanced degree in NPD/R&D/process engineering).
• Medical Packaging & Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of ISO 11607/13485 and FDA; sterilization processes; risk management (FMEA).
• Technical & Process Expertise: Film extrusion, coating/lamination, sealing; IQ/OQ/PQ validation; DOE & statistical tools.
• Project Leadership & Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, manage scope/timeline/budget, strong communication.
• Innovation & Problem-Solving: Demonstrated innovation and solution delivery in packaging.
• Travel: Up to 20% travel for collaboration and trials.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of medical films and flexible packaging: design, prototyping, pilot-scale development, validation, and tech transfer.
• Develop and optimize extrusion and conversion processes to scale from prototyping to manufacturing.
• Drive cross-functional NPD projects with stage-gate processes; manage risks and milestones.
• Lead regulatory compliance activities and design verification/validation plans for packaging.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to align product specs with needs.
• Pursue continuous improvement in materials and processes; contribute to IP and best practices.
