Job summary

Shifamed, a medical device company in Silicon Valley, seeks an Equipment & Maintenance Technician to manage preventive maintenance and calibration of R&D and production equipment in a GMP/GDP environment. You will troubleshoot, document, and coordinate with engineering and vendors to ensure equipment readiness and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in regulated maintenance, ability to read schematics, and familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, while CAD tools like SolidWorks are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; AA/AS degree preferred in a technical field.
• 5+ years of equipment or maintenance technician experience in a regulated environment.
• Ability to read schematics/assembly drawings; familiarity with calibration principles.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute preventive maintenance program for PD and production equipment.
• Coordinate equipment calibration program and track due dates.
• Maintain equipment documentation and logs; troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for new, relocated, and repaired equipment.
• Manage vendor relationships for service contracts, parts, and on-site work.
• Fabricate and repair tooling and fixtures for production builds.
• Support facilities systems including air, water, vacuum; coordinate external contractors.
• Maintain GMP/GDP standards and compliant documentation.
