Job summary

Hopscotch Primary Care is seeking a Sr. Associate, Medical Economics who works at the intersection of FP&A, analytics, and population health to turn claims and clinical data into insight that drives value-based care performance.

You will mature and maintain the standard claims model and the reporting infrastructure supporting financial close, clinical review, and performance management. The role demands technical excellence paired with sound judgment on data validity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare analytics or medical economics
• Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Excel
• Experience with healthcare claims data and data integration
• Understanding PMPM, MLR, and risk adjustment concepts
• Experience presenting data-driven insights to leadership

Responsibilities

• Support the in-house build of Hopscotch’s cost categorization capability and governance
• Maintain and enhance payer data and cost categorization capabilities
• Build and maintain medical economics reporting suite (SQL, Power BI, Excel) and support IBNR estimation and cohort forecasting
• Review monthly outputs to surface cost drivers and trends
• Analyze medical cost trends by unit cost, utilization, and risk adjustment data
• Collaborate with leadership to deliver high-impact analyses and ROI for medical cost initiatives
• Partner across Clinical, Operations, and Finance to translate questions into scalable analyses
