Job summary

Qualifications

• US citizenship required unless stated otherwise (per VA policy)
• MD degree from an approved school
• Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the US
• Residency training approved by VA/ACGME or AOA with board eligibility
• Must meet VA qualification standards for physicians
• Strong English communication skills and leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership as Medical Director (Primary Care) and supervise clinic staff
• Develop and approve provider scheduling grids in compliance with VAMC SOP
• Ensure coverage of clinic provider functions during leaves
• Conduct OPPEs/FPPEs and participate in performance reviews
• Collaborate with PCMHI, pharmacy, Whole Health, and telehealth for patient goals
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff
• Oversee patient experience, feedback, and conflict resolution
• Participate in monthly Primary Care Leadership meetings and organizational initiatives
