Job summary

The Boise VA Healthcare System seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse (Medical Director) in Primary Care to lead the Blue Team. This senior clinician will provide primary care, supervise two physicians, two PAs and one NP, and guide clinical and administrative operations within the clinic.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Blue Team Clinic Manager, policy development, and cross-service integration to support Veterans' care across the facility and VISN 20 networks.

Qualifications

• Licensed independent practitioner with advanced education and national certification to practice in primary care.
• Senior-level leadership and supervisory experience over physicians, PAs, and NPs.
• Ability to collaborate with clinic management and interdisciplinary teams to advance clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary care provider for an assigned patient panel.
• Supervise 2 physicians, 2 PAs, and 1 NP within the Blue Team.
• Lead service and program operations, clinical and administrative.
• Collaborate with the Blue Team Clinic Manager on day-to-day clinic operations.
• Establish relationships with medical center staff, customers, families, and community.
