Colorado Access in Denver is seeking a Senior Medical Director to shape our vision and support our mission. Provide enterprise-wide physician leadership across clinical programs and teams, strengthen physician oversight of utilization management, and collaborate with Population Health, Care Management, and Behavioral Health.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Board Certification in a primary care field is required.
• At least five years in healthcare with two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in utilization management and medical necessity review.
• Experience using health data to guide decision-making.
• Familiarity with AI governance and digital health initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-wide physician leadership across clinical programs.
• Oversee utilization management and medical necessity determinations.
• Partner with Population Health, Care Management, and Behavioral Health.
• Lead cross-functional projects and continuous improvement across departments.
• Develop and implement department policies ensuring compliance.
• Serve on Credentials and Pharmacy & Therapeutics committees.
