Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking an experienced Medical Director in Clinical Development focusing on aging within the Respiratory, Immunology & Inflammation Research Unit. You will lead translational and clinical studies, contribute to target validation and data capabilities, and work cross-functionally to develop CDPs and biomarker strategies.

The role offers hybrid work with on-site presence at Stevenage and potential relocation to Cambridge, UK, with timelines to be set by the Company.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree and postgraduate clinical training.
• Strong knowledge of clinical development processes (GCP/ICH).
• Experience in cross-functional matrix teams in pharma/biotech.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical development plans and study designs across all phases.
• Provide medical monitoring and safety oversight for studies.
• Influence regulatory interactions and prepare regulatory documents.
