Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Medical Director, Clinical Development, Hepatology to provide clinical and scientific insights for liver disease assets. Qualifications

• Medical degree with board qualification/registration in Internal Medicine or Primary Care / Family Medicine.
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry clinical drug development and trial execution.
• Direct medical oversight during trials.
• Knowledge of ICH, FDA requirements, and global regulatory expectations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical development plans and protocols across advanced development stages.
• Provide medical monitoring and safety oversight for study participants.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and briefing documents.
• Oversee IES development and evidence generation activities.
• Interact with regulators, payors, and external experts as needed.
