Job summary

The successful candidate will bring clinical research experience in a CRO, pharma, or biotech setting, strong GCP knowledge, and excellent communication skills to drive study strategy and patient safety

Qualifications

• Medical degree with substantial clinical research experience in a CRO/pharma/biotech environment.
• Strong expertise in immunology and inflammation, CNS or cardiometabolic development.
• Experience in medical monitoring, protocol development and medical oversight of clinical trials.
• Solid understanding of clinical development, GCP and patient safety requirements.
• Ability to communicate scientific information clearly with sponsors and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and scientific leadership across clinical development programmes.
• Contribute to clinical development strategy, protocol design and study planning.
• Deliver medical monitoring and review data to support patient safety and study integrity.
• Advise investigators and study teams on medical and protocol-related questions.
• Partner with Clinical Operations, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory and other functions to resolve study issues.
• Support business development through scientific input into proposals, bid defence meetings and client presentations.
• Build trusted relationships with sponsors and contribute to the organisation’s therapeutic capabilities.

We’re working on behalf of a global, full-service CRO to appoint a US-based Senior Medical Director with expertise in immunology and inflammation, CNS or cardiometabolic clinical development.

We’re looking for a physician who can bring therapeutic depth to sponsor discussions while remaining closely involved in clinical trial design and medical oversight. Expertise in one of these areas is sufficient; experience across all three is not required.

The role
