Job summary

You will collaborate with investigators, sponsors, and CRO partners, guiding protocol feasibility and contributing medical input to study development in a fast-paced regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed MD or relevant doctoral qualification with transferable experience.
• Minimum of two years' clinical trial management and oversight experience.
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Ability to lead people, communicate clearly, and build effective working relationships.
• Proven ability to manage multiple studies and competing priorities in a fast-paced research environment.
• Independent, proactive approach with commitment to participant safety and research quality.

Job description

We’re partnering with an established clinical research organization seeking a Medical Director to lead medical oversight at one of its research sites. This is an opportunity to bring together your clinical expertise and leadership skills to support the development of new therapies, strengthen research delivery, and develop a high-performing team.

You’ll work closely with investigators, site leadership, sponsors, and CRO partners, taking responsibility for the site’s medical activities while respecting the Principal Investigator’s designated responsibilities.

Your impact:

• Put participants first: Protect the safety, rights, and wellbeing of study volunteers throughout their trial experience.
• Lead medical delivery: Oversee site medical activities, support protocol execution, and maintain high standards of data integrity.
• Develop your team: Help recruit, train, mentor, and supervise investigators and clinical personnel.
• Shape study success: Assess protocol feasibility, review study requirements, and contribute medical input to protocol development when requested.
• Drive continuous improvement: Strengthen site procedures, evaluate quality programs, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Build strong partnerships: Serve as a key medical contact for sponsors, CROs, healthcare providers, and regulatory representatives.
• Support inspection readiness: Participate in study initiation meetings, monitoring visits, and audits, ensuring adherence to FDA regulations, ICH-GCP, and site procedures.
• Influence site performance: Partner with leadership on staffing, resources, timelines, and progress against objectives.

What you’ll bring:
