Job summary

Hologic is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to guide customer-centric medical device development from concept to production, applying strong technical judgment and cross-functional collaboration.

You will mentor engineers, lead subsystem teams, coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing, and develop protocols, risk documentation, and transfer plans to ensure quality, reliability, and innovation throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Biomedical/Mechanical engineering with R&D experience in medical devices.
• 5 years health/industry experience; 1-3 years with a Master’s degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to mentor.

Responsibilities

• Technically leads small to medium projects with subsystem ownership and milestone delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers; lead project meetings for technical decisions.
• Interact with project teams, suppliers, customers, and contractors.
• Contribute to scopes, budgets, and schedules; build and review project docs.
• Lead build and manufacturing transfer activities; manage risk across lifecycle.
