Job summary

Manpower is seeking an experienced Senior R&D Technician to bridge early-stage medical device design with physical realization in Temecula, CA. The role focuses on assembling complex prototypes, refining processes, and contributing to design feedback for engineering partners.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in medical device manufacturing, strong mechanical and interpretation skills, and hands-on experience with laser welding, soldering, and bench testing.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in medical device manufacturing.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) or significant hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with medical device equipment/techniques (e.g., laser welding, plastic processing, soldering, bench testing, and precision inspection).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prototype assembly of complex medical device prototypes and development of assembly methods and processes.
• Design and develop custom tooling and fixtures to support scalable production.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and provide actionable feedback to refine designs.
• Own lab equipment, calibration, and maintenance responsibilities.
• Work within strict quality-controlled environment procedures and guidelines.
• Document progress and draft clear updates for client meetings.
