Job summary

Illinois Tool Works Inc. in Hebron, IL seeks a Sr. New Product Development Engineer to lead cross-functional projects from concept to launch, overseeing infusion disposable component development under strict design controls and DOE practices.

You will mentor engineers, drive DFMEA and PFMEA, manage schedules and budgets, and partner with customers, Sales and Manufacturing to deliver high-quality, scalable medical device components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics, or Biomedical Engineering with 5 years of experience in product development or related role.
• Master’s degree with 2 years in NPD acceptable in alternative.
• Experience in injection molding and plastic welding.
• Strong understanding of design controls and Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead NPD projects from concept through implementation across multiple functions.
• Develop, modify, implement and support infusion disposable components following design controls.
• Lead DFMEA, PFMEA, and risk analysis as part of design control and project management.
• Collaborate with Operations and Project Engineering to ensure manufacturability and on-time delivery.
