Hobson & Motzer, now part of Vantedge Medical, seeks a Senior Project & Manufacturing Engineer in Durham, CT. You will drive the technical requirements for efficient manufacturing processes and mentor engineers while leading cost, quality, and productivity improvements.

Responsibilities include managing projects, developing processes per customer needs, and coordinating validation with quality. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in manufacturing/engineering.
• Experience with gauging, design methods, and geometric tolerancing.
• Experience with measuring equipment calibration.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to lead continuous improvement projects.
• Knowledge of quality systems and documentation control.

Responsibilities

• Applies professional training to identify, document, and communicate customer requirements.
• Manages projects to ensure scope and product requirements are met with clear reporting.
• Develops and implements effective manufacturing processes according to customer needs and cost standards.
• Researches and deploys new technologies to support the business plan.
• Evaluates and resolves manufacturing problems using scientific methods promptly.
• Plans, schedules, and facilitates review meetings at project stages.
• Coordinates process/product validation activities, including customer approval.
• Collaborates with customers on technical issues related to projects/products.
