Job summary

huMannity Medtec in Valencia, CA is seeking a Senior Medical Device Assembler to support the assembly, testing, inspection, and documentation of implantable and other advanced medical device components in a regulated laboratory and cleanroom environment. This hands-on role requires precision work, collaboration with engineers, and a commitment to quality in a regulated setting.

The position offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and opportunities to contribute across the full product

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 7+ years of precision manufacturing experience, preferably in medical devices or another regulated industry.
• Expert-level soldering, assembly, and rework skills.
• Experience performing assembly and inspection under microscopes.
• Experience handling ESD-sensitive components.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assembly, soldering, rework, welding, bonding, and inspection activities on medical device components.
• Build prototype, development, verification, validation, clinical, and production devices.
• Operate testing equipment and perform electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections.
• Troubleshoot product and process issues using technical documentation and approved procedures.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and specifications.
• Complete manufacturing documentation, inspection records, and Device History Records (DHRs).
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to improve manufacturability, quality, and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide design-for-manufacturing feedback.
• Mentor and cross-train team members while promoting quality and compliance standards.
• Support equipment readiness, calibration activities, inventory coordination, and laboratory organization.
