Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a Senior Coding Associate for Customer Insights to help providers adopt the athenaOne Medical Coding service. This role requires deep coding expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to drive improvements.

You will analyze provider documentation, identify gaps, design automation-driven solutions, and manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or commensurate professional experience).
• CPC and/or CCS certification from AAPC or AHIMA required.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Medical Coding.
• Experience presenting to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze provider documentation and audits to identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze customer configurations to identify gaps and disruption risks.
• Design automation-forward solutions and reduce manual workflows.
• Manage multiple complex projects independently and prioritize to deadlines.
• Create presentations for internal and external audiences and ensure on-brand messaging.
