Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health, Inc. seeks a Lead Professional Coder to lead the coding unit, audit records, and ensure data integrity in accordance with regulatory standards.

This role acts as a liaison among clinical, regulatory, and administrative teams and oversees training on coding and documentation quality. The position requires strong knowledge of ICD/CPT/HCPCS coding, DRG reimbursement, and ongoing compliance reviews within the EHR environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 5+ years of healthcare coding experience.
• Credentials in RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CDIP/CPMA/CPC are preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related coding experience, preferably in psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Lead coding unit operations and ensure accurate ICD/CPT/HCPCS coding.
• Audit records for compliance and DRG/reimbursement accuracy.
• Coordinate education and updates for providers and staff.
• Develop audit procedures and maintain EHR documentation quality.
