Rogers Behavioral Health in Wisconsin seeks a Lead Professional Coder to oversee the Coding Unit, audit records, and ensure accurate documentation within EHR systems. You will lead education, maintain data integrity, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission and state regulations while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams.

The role requires expertise in ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS coding, DRG assignments, and ongoing regulatory updates.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in health information management or 5+ years in a health information role.
• RHIA/RHIT and coding credentials preferred (CCS, CCS-P, CDIP, CPMA, CPC).
• Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS coding and DRG assignments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as coding liaison between coding, providers and administration.
• Apply ICD-9/10, CPT and HCPCS codes for DRG assignments and reimbursements.
• Audit medical records for compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• Educate staff on coding updates, EHR usage, and regulatory changes.
• Coordinate with leadership to improve documentation quality and data integrity.
