Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or certificate or 3+ years of related experience accepted.
• Active medical assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA or RMA) through NAHP/NCCT/AAMA/AMT/NHA required.
• CPR certification required at hire or within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance
• Administering medications and injections
• Venipuncture for lab draw
• Performing EKGs, Spirometry, Flu and Strep Tests
• Maintains medical supplies inventory and preventive maintenance of equipment
• Verifies patient information and medical history
• Prepares patients for examination and records vital signs
• Supports doctors by handling office procedures and patient flow
• Protects patient information and confidentiality
• Process referrals and ensure compliance with standards

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical Assistant diploma or certificate

Active medical assistant certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA)
