Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA/MA Sr) to support patient care by assisting providers during visits and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

The MA may hold a program completion, EMTBasic, or on-the-job training; the Sr level requires additional certifications and BLS within 90 days, with 40 hours/week on-site and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• For MA: completion of an MA program; or completion of an EMT‑Basic course; or trained on‑the‑job MA with one year healthcare experience; or completion of an MA apprentice program.
• For MA Sr: military medic/corpsman training (plus BLS or equivalent within six months of hire); or certified/registered medical assistant through one of the following—Credentialed in ABR‑OE, CMA, RMA, NRCMA, CCMA, or NPCE; or certified paramedic; or advanced EMT; or LPN license with active status; or another approved certification maintained by Froedtert HR.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Remain compliant with all organizational educational, licensure, and certification requirements.
• Cross‑train and float as needed across sites to maintain optimal clinic operations.
