Job summary

Providence Medical Foundation is seeking a Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) to support licensed practitioners in delivering patient care. The MA III will perform all MA I/II duties and act as an informal leader, mentor, and quality champion in the clinic.

The role emphasizes initiative, patient-focused care, and collaboration with team members to maintain high standards and patient experience within our Providence locations.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school with hands-on clinical training or completed a registered medical assistant apprenticeship.
• Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Two years of medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
• Two years of high-level customer service experience, handling confidential data with discretion.

Job description

The Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II roles. Additionally, the Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) proactively takes initiative and serves as an informal leader with additional responsibilities related to clinic/location. MA III serves as an ambassador, change agent, quality champion, and mentor/resource to Medical Assistants by providing support, guidance, and training as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
• Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
• Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
• 2 years Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
