The Senior Medical Assistant (Sr. MA) position involves providing expert support in technical examinations and treatments, communicating effectively with patients, and performing delegated tasks under supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatments, dressing changes, administrative duties complying with healthcare standards, scheduling, verifying eligibility, and mentoring colleagues.

Essential Functions

• Model and promote a positive work environment, facilitate teamwork, and contribute to department results.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team, teaching and mentoring peers.
• Serve as a clinical resource, guiding colleagues with advanced skills and providing feedback.

Patient Care Responsibilities

• Provide care under supervision, including pre-visit planning, vital signs, history review, documentation, and follow-up.
• Coordinate care with hospitals, specialists, and community resources, and ensure patient engagement with MyChart.

Quality and Safety

• Report patient observations, recognize abnormal findings, and ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Perform routine tests and maintain sterile and clean environments.

Financial and Resource Management

• Use supplies efficiently, manage inventory, and prioritize tasks to minimize overtime.

Growth and Innovation

• Develop team skills, participate in educational activities, and suggest performance improvements.

Qualifications
