Job summary

Corewell Health Wyandotte Care Center is seeking a Medical Assistant III to support the Internal Medicine team in a busy outpatient clinic. This full-time role focuses on patient flow, assisting physicians, and coordinating front-office tasks.

The position requires completion of an accredited MA program, possible CMA/RMA/ARMA certifications within 90 days, and a Michigan LPN license upon hire. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited MA program with clinical rotation.
• 1 year MA experience; CH MA internship or 6 months MA experience acceptable.
• LPN license in Michigan required upon hire.
• Various MA certifications must be achieved within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and manage patient care in a primary care setting.
• Support operations to improve patient flow and clinic efficiency.
• Perform front-office duties and cover other departments as needed.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and patient-family centered care.
• Participate in designated programs and process improvement initiatives.

Education

Completion of a competency-based accredited MA program

MA internship or CH MA apprenticeship program

LPN license (Michigan) upon hire

CRT-BLS (AHA) within 30 days

CRT-Medical Assistant CMA (AAMA) within 90 days

CRT-Medical Assistant RMA (AMT) within 90 days

CRT-Medical Assistant ARMA (AMT) within 90 days

CRT-Medical Assistant NCMA (NCCT) within 90 days

CRT-Medical Assistant CCMA (NHA) within 90 days

CRT-Medical Assistant NRCMA (NAHP) within 90 days
