Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Senior Medical Assistant Certified (Sr. MA) to provide expert clinical support under physician or RN supervision.

You will assist with examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, and dressing changes in addition to performing department-level administrative tasks. The role requires CMA or RMA certification and BLS, with at least five years of medical assisting experience in complex care settings.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Five years medical assistant experience in complex or specialty care
• CPT certification preferred (ACA)

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostics, and dressing changes.
• Provide advanced clinical support under physician or RN supervision.
• Schedule patient appointments and verify eligibility for care.
• Serve as preceptor and clinical resource, orienting and training Medical Assistants.
