Job summary

NYC Department of Social Services is seeking a Clerical Associate IV to function as the Senior Processor of Medicaid Pay-In payments within the Cashiers Unit. You will manage the cashier window, oversee CardConnect credit card transactions, and handle data entry for Medicaid-related billing in the DARB system.

Responsibilities include reviewing FO CIS batches, depositing payments, replying to customers, and handling IVRS calls.

Qualifications

• Four-year high school diploma or equivalent required; one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
• Typing speed minimum of 100 keystrokes per minute; accurate data entry is essential.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word preferred; experience with WMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide coverage for the Cashier’s window where customers make payments in person for Medicaid Surplus.
• Oversee processing of credit card transactions on the CardConnect platform.
• Review input documents and batches prepared in FO CIS for data entry into the DARB accounting system.
• Prepare documents and Medicaid batches for data entry and deposit checks/money orders via remote deposit.
• Review Medicaid Surplus payments from third parties and correspond with customers lacking required forms.
• Respond to calls on the IVRS system and process credit card payments.
• Research customer payments using DARB system, WMS and HRA One Viewer.
• Perform scanning, indexing and quality assurance of Medicaid surplus payments and disbursements.
• Carry out additional administrative duties as assigned.
