The Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL) seeks an Investigator 3 for the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit to conduct criminal investigations, collect evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare thorough reports.

The role requires integrity, effective communication, and the ability to work with local, state, and federal partners; home-domiciled in Polk County or nearby counties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with relevant policing or criminology focus and two years of investigative work.
• Or four-year degree with three years of qualifying investigative experience.
• Background checks for criminal history and abuse registry required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews of victims, suspects, and witnesses.
• Collect evidence, conduct surveillance, and perform undercover activities.
• Analyze records and prepare investigative reports.
• Collaborate with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.
• Maintain confidentiality and apply Medicaid program knowledge.
