Job summary

Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL) seeks a dedicated Investigator 3 for its Medicaid Fraud Control Unit within the Investigations Division. The role focuses on criminal investigations related to Medicaid fraud, patient abuse, and related activities, with home-domicile in Polk County or nearby counties.

The ideal candidate will have prior investigative experience, strong ethics, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to coordinate with law enforcement

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time work in law enforcement, corrections or criminal investigation (or three years if degree not in listed majors).
• Bachelor's degree with qualifying major or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience interviewing victims, suspects and witnesses in criminal or civil investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews of victims, suspects, and witnesses for investigations.
• Collect evidence, conduct surveillance and undercover activities.
• Obtain and analyze records relevant to investigations.
• Prepare thorough investigation reports.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.
